Unlock Net Zero Award Finalists

Unlock net zero award finalist

We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for two categories in the prestigious Unlock Net Zero Awards 2025!

Our delivery of Warm Homes (ex-SHDF) government grant funded retrofits for ASSIST Sheffield has been recognised for the shared values which elevated the project from being a delivery partnership to a collaboration. Fittingly we’ve been shortlisted for the Collaboration of the year - retrofit projects award and we’ve both massively thanked our internal teams that worked together so well that ASSIST were able to unlock three further funding pots whilst we delivered a local supply chain. Read more about the project at the bottom of this page.

Our second shortlisting in the Project innovation of the year - large-scale retrofit category recognises our innovation in piloting the South Yorkshire Retrofit Task Force. We’ve been part of the ‘what are the gaps’ in retrofit conversations for a long time. We’ve moved on to filling the gaps - and our Skills Task Force is doing just this. We’re trying to get grants to deliver this as a going concern so please connect with us if you’d like to lean more about it.

A previous news story gives some background. And thank you to the North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub for funding the pilot on behalf of the government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) department.

There’s so much to celebrate whether we win or lose - not least finding out more about the work of our peer in working to achieve net zero.

We’ll look forwarded to meeting some of these peers at the awards ceremony on 24 June.
